Why the name Khuba?

The name Khuba comes from Assyrian — also known as Sureth — a modern Aramaic language. ܚܘܼܒܵܐ means love.
For centuries, different forms of Aramaic connected people across much of the ancient Near East. Aramaic is also the language family to which the Galilean dialect spoken during the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, belonged.
Aramaic went on to become one of the great languages of Christian worship, Scripture, theology, poetry, and prayer. As kingdoms, borders, and everyday languages changed, Middle Eastern Christian communities kept it alive through their churches, liturgies, traditions, and family life.
We chose the name Khuba to honor this living Christian inheritance, while expressing the purpose of our app through one simple word: love.

The meaning behind our symbol
The Khuba mark is not decoration. Each element points to something we believe about faith, family, and the path God prepares.
The radiant star represents the Star of Bethlehem, which announced the holy Nativity of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, and guided the Magi to the newborn King.
Its light represents the guidance of God, hope, and the journey toward something true. Its movement across the sky symbolizes a faithful path being revealed and followed. For Khuba, the star reminds us that when God directs our steps, love can find its proper purpose.
The branches represent peace, spiritual growth, fruitfulness, and the continuation of faith through generations.
The two branches reaching toward one another symbolize two lives being brought together. Each person carries a unique story, family, and heritage, yet both grow toward the same center while remaining rooted in Christian faith. Together they express our hope that a sincere connection may grow into a faithful marriage, a loving family, and a flourishing Christian home.
The mountain represents steadfast faith, strength, endurance, and spiritual ascent.
It honors the Middle Eastern Christian communities that remained faithful through centuries of hardship, persecution, displacement, and change. Although many were separated from their ancestral homelands, they carried their faith, language, traditions, and identity with them. The mountain reminds us to remain firmly grounded in Christian truth while continuing to grow spiritually and seek the path God has prepared for us.

Yes. You can earn Kokhwa days by inviting friends — each friend who joins and completes verification grants Kokhwa time. Referral Kokhwa includes exactly the same benefits as a paid subscription, and reaching the referral goal unlocks Lifetime Kokhwa.
New members take a photo in the app while holding up three fingers. Our team compares it with the pictures on the profile. We aim to complete most reviews within twenty-four hours. The review photo is not shown to other members. See Safety and Verification for the limits of that review, and the Privacy Policy for how long the photo is kept.
No. Verification means we reviewed the submitted photo and believe, to the best of our ability, that the person matches their profile. It is not a guarantee of identity, intentions, honesty, or safety. Always use your own judgment, protect your personal information, and meet in public places.
Seeing who liked you and who viewed your profile are Kokhwa features. Members with Kokhwa can unlock and view this information.
Kokhwa members receive priority placement as part of their membership, so their profiles are more visible in certain areas of the app.
Yes. Hide Online Status is available to everyone. Kokhwa members can also turn on Private Mode, which shows your profile only to people you have already liked.
Matches are mutual. A conversation opens once both members show interest in each other. Voice messages are available to all members, while photos and GIFs in chat are for Kokhwa members.
Your profile stays. Kokhwa-only settings and gated filters are turned off, and your daily likes return to 5. Age, distance, and church filters remain available, and Hide Online Status stays on your account.
New profile photos are reviewed before they are shown to other members. That review has limits. Members can Block, Report, or use Block & Report. Child-safety reports receive priority review. Read Safety and Verification, Community Rules, and Child Safety for the full standards.
